Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Bio Sorty – as lovely as your story. (“we”) collects when you use BioStory at https://mybiostory.in/, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind: we collect only what the service needs, use it only for that purpose, and keep it safe.

Information we collect

• Your biodata details: the information in the biodata you upload or type in, such as names, date, time and place of birth, education, work, family members, hobbies and contact details.
• Your answers and photos: the answers you give to our short questions and the photos you add.
• Your mobile number, if you give it for payment or recovery.
• Payment details: payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive your payment ID, the amount, and the email and phone number you entered at checkout. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
• Technical information: your IP address, which we use only to prevent abuse, and a cookie that holds the private edit key for your biodata.

How we use it

• To read your uploaded biodata and to write your story page.
• To show your biodata page to the people you share the link with.
• To send you your private edit link and, if you saved your progress, up to two reminders about an unpublished draft.
• To process payments, prevent misuse, and answer your questions.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• Anthropic (Claude AI) reads your uploaded biodata and writes your story. Your phone number and address are not sent when your story is written.
• Razorpay processes your payment.
• Our hosting and email providers store the site and deliver emails.
• People you share your link with can see your published page. Anyone who has the link can view it, so share it only with people you trust.

How long we keep it

• The original file you upload is deleted immediately after it has been read.
• Unpaid drafts are deleted, with their photos, after 7 days without changes.
• Published biodatas are kept until you ask us to remove them.
• Payment records are kept as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can edit your biodata at any time with your private edit link, delete an unpaid draft from the builder, and stop reminders using the link in the message. To get a copy of your information, correct it, or have a published biodata taken down and deleted, write to support@mybiostory.in. We act on requests within 30 days.

Family members and photos

Your biodata may include details of family members and photos of other people. Please add only information and photos you have the right to share, with the consent of the people in them.

Security

We use HTTPS, keep each biodata behind a long random key, never let search engines list biodata pages, and limit how often anyone can use our tools. No method of storing information online is completely secure, but we work to protect yours.

Children

BioStory is meant for adults preparing a marriage biodata. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
